When my carpets are cleaned at first, they are perfectly clean and I have a friend who owns a carpet company who doesn’t just steam clean the carpets. After a few months, the same stains seem to re-emerge from where they were before as if they were cleaned on the surface but re-surfaced.

I have 2 cats where I have cleaned hairballs, and a lot of throwing up, and I think that’s what the stains are from. I use the MIracle stuff for cat stains/odors and it seems to work at first, but again they come up especially in the hallway upstairs.

The rest of my my carpets are not bad, even after a year. I take good care of them and keep them as clean as possible but these round stains in various places make it look really bad! How can I make them go away permanently. I’m tired of hiring expensive carpet cleaners where they look great for a month or so; then these same spots seem to come back plus additional hairballs which I try to catch as soon as I can.

My Hoover broke, so I went to Kohl’s and got a really nice deal on a Rug Doctor Mighty Pro. Nice machine, except it’s heavy, and it only extracted 25% or LESS of the water out of the mattresses and couch cushions. SO, I reasearch all nite. There’s a really nice Bissell on sale at Kohl’s too, but many reviews said that when you do furniture, it doens’t extract much water. So, today I go to Kohl’s, and take back the Rug Doctor. I bought a Hoover Max extract. It extracts about 80% of the water, has a few annoying things like any carpet cleaner, but they’re now putting on stiff, short, grey HARD plastic hoses that want to curl up. Also it’s hard to work on the bottom edges of the chairs near the floor, because the hose is so stiff, it gets under the upholstery tool and your hand and blocks you from running the tool down at the very bottom bottom near the floor.

Anyone got any other ideas? I’m not familiar with the Dyson at all. I wouldn’t touch a Shark, and don’t like Oreck anything.

I am looking at getting a steam cleaner and I want one that will really clean deep down. Are there any pressure steam cleaners that clean deep down? Which cleaner have you found the best?

I’m on a budget and these two look pretty good, which would you say is better?

Alright, so again you have probably seen my story a million times on here. Our cat peed in my room, but I don’t have to worry about that anymore because the cat has been moved. I didn’t know where the smell has been coming from for about 5 months, so I couldn’t treat it. Then I found a HUGE cat pee stain in my closet. I had to eventually cut out the carpet in my closet because nothing worked. Natures Miracle, Resolve, professional cleaners, baking soda, vinegar, nothing worked. It can’t get into the padding because it has a plastic cover on it, or something like that to protect it. I also treated another area that had cat pee, which was under my TV on the wall. It was in a straight line under my TV almost like getting under the wall. I treated that the same, for months, and finally the smell started to fade. Then all I smelt was those cleaning products. All the time. So I got so sick of it that I pulled up that part of the carpet to look at it, and there are huge stains on the carpet, some of them even BROWN. It’s so nasty. And then I found even more cat pee spots on the right of my bed, and I don’t even want to try anything, because nothing works. But today my stepdad got the carpets steam cleaned, all of them. I thought it would be okay now, but no. It’s still there. And it’s never going to go away now unless I get a new carpet. I have asked and asked and it looks like I am never going to get a new carpet. I think there are really some health problems that that could cause, being around it all the time, breathing it in. Also, I have a pet bird, and he has to breath it in all the time too. So I don’t know what to do.

But long story short 1st- I had the most horrendous experience staying with a gf-bf pair. I have

He has not replied and on phone refused to hand over a dime.I was there in CA only for sometime and had to return back to the South so never had a chance to pursue the case and sue him. Its now well over a year and I am back in the Bay for some other work. Can I still SUE him and get my deposit back + all the cost the inconvienence I had to bear ( see below if it intersts you) ?

Here is the long story.Read only if it interests you else STOP where you are.

Alright – I am Asian who was doing an Internship with a well known company in the Bay. West Coast, weather is nice & fine but not so much so for all the expenses , to someone who came down from the South & has no connection to it other than a few months internship , which he earned on recommendation of this Profs.
There was hardly any money in it to earn but I wanted to do it because the subject was of relevance to my Masters Thesis. I had to find myself very modest accommodation & figure out how less frequently I could fill a tank @ /gal. It was during such times , that I answered a Craiglist Ad for a roomies. I had a habit of trusting people on their face , esp. when it came to Americans ( because that is how they do it in the South ) , so I went there & everything looked Hunky Dory .

You cannot use the laundry between so & so times. Alright – I try using in other times ,& the gf has a pile of stinking mud-stained clothes ( I have the pictures. I like doing better than he says – she says stuff ) lying around . ‘These go first’ she said . ‘ its ok…I’ll come after you ‘ ….’that’s your problem but Joe does’nt like to be disturbed after 9 pm ‘ ( her laundry ended at 9:15 pm ) . Then there were those situations when they had these parties on some week-ends & they left stacks of spaghetti filled plates in the sink it really stunk like you need nose-clips to pass that area. I kept quiet though they kept pointing out faults with my way of living . Took pictures though.
Then came the money matters. I gave this fellow some 0 before i moved in to be adjusted with the deposit , when I move in & he agreed ( verbal ). When I moved ( his gf thinks it unfair to her ) in he says there is no adjustment . The 0 is to hold the room for you. ( there is nothing like that in the agreement I signed with him ) .Then things went even more south – I was home for like 1-2 weeks to finish some work better done from home.. They claimed to have so called 8 hrs jobs but his gf ( & also others ) landed up twice a day for lunch. We were transitioning to Winter. The heater was on & the bill jacked up.His GF told me that since I was ‘working’ from home,its not fair for her & other room- mates to ‘pay for me working at home’ & she said it as if she was representing the rest of the crowd ( in front of others as if she is on their side ) .So I have to foot 60% of that bill ( & all I did was use the PC & put on an air purifier ).There was’nt anything mentioned in the agreement. But if you are a ‘foreigner’ you tend to be more tolerant & let go because ‘you are the new man in who needs to adapt’.So I did & thereafter I had to stay out most times (so they dont have an excuse )while these people came in & out as they like .

Next came a new puppy . Courtesy & civility demands that if you get a new pet esp one that is likely to be of nuisance value,you should ask others & let them know all what can happen.Their ‘cuddly’ lad would run to every open room , including the rest room for a leak or a spoil. He did it like 3 times in my room.I showed them the artwork & that gf said "can’t you just pick it up like a tootsie roll"
. ..it does’nt stop here .The internet router was in their pvt bed room.Every-time his gf used a dryer(BTW-that thing really sucks > 1500 w of power) she tripped out the fuse & down goes net.I told Joe- keep that router in a common place so I can restart it. I am not interested in entering your gf’s bedroom. He gave the most uncouth reply.Eventually I got my own internet connection @ twice the price.

I got really pissed when next time that dog ‘shat’ inside my room . Left a stinging note on their door & had a loud altercation with her gf. Took pics of one of the dropping.I did not ‘abuse’ her ( not in my culture ) but brought out the points I had to.She pretended to cry & called
The bf came charging & was abt to hit me with a jack. Next day they served me 30 days notice.I lodged a Police Complaint .
Then on that gf kept insulting me in a slanting manner.

He would NOT give me a room key or the house key.We had to enter thro’ the backdoor & once he deliberately locked my room.Locksmith cost me 0+.

Okay its been about 2 years now since my husband and I have adopted 2 dogs from our local animal shelter…… We love them dearly! We were told they were house trained when we adopted them but noticed they had quite a few accidents after we brought them home but we thought hmmm well it because its a new house….Well no matter what we did they continued I am a stay at home mom so I let the dogs out all the time every hour…..our trainer said every 3-4 hours and after meals and after naps and such but I do it every hour because no matter how often they still go in the house! I do not understand this we reward them if they use the bathroom in the correct area…..if we catch them using it in the house I pick them up and rush them outside……We don’t crate them I am not sure if they were crate abused but one goes crazy if confined in a crate so we don’t do that….if we are going to leave for the day we do put them in our master bath which is pretty big but has tile floors so that we can clean up accidents easily…..We just got a new house and the living room has carpet and I am having to steam clean the carpet once a week…..I can not think of anything else I have taken vet advice and trainer advice! anyone know any other solutions? I use the correct cleaners and I have used to home remedies to clean the urine……I don’t think its so much as marking because I have noticed one of them goes and hides when he does it……The other I noticed he will do it out in the open so I think his is just because he actually has to go……I am thinking the problem is they are too busy exploring while outside to use the bathroom……I know they won’t go while on a leash being walked what so ever we tried that you could walk them 50 miles they will pee everywhere just not poo…..I was thinking maybe putting them on a tie out for like 30 mins every couple of hours because husband has not got around to fencing in our yard yet…..but I am afraid a stray dog will come in the yard……we live out in the country on 5 acres I don’t have any close neighbors but I would hate for something like that to happen……ughhh any advice or help is needed we really do love them and need to live in harmony I am tired of scrubbing up dog pee!
1 yorkie and 1 poodle both male both 4 years old boy fixed sorry should probably add those details….normally they use the bathroom when I take them out……but sometimes they can just go pee and they will go back to the door and a few mins later one of them has pooped on the floor or the other way around! and im like ughh can’t win for losing but any little thing is a victory! They were both raised by a elderly lady that we know of and her husband and I know the yorkie didn’t like men at all he sleeps on my pillow and if my hubby trys to get in the bed he will give him a warning that its his pillow not my hubbys lol but the elderly lady passed and the next day her husband dropped them off at the shelter so not only did they lose their mommy the next day they were at a animal shelter and a week later at our house but its been 2 years and we love them to death just need to solve the bathroom issues!

Last week when I was staying at a hotel during our year 9 city camp, on day 2 out of 3. I overslept the checkout time. I was accidentally wrapped up with the bed sheets during the daily clean of the room and change of the linen. I woke up instantly after I was wrapped in a ball by the cleaner. As I was carried out of the room and into the hall I could see through the sheets that all my classmates were grouped near the lift ready to go to the day’s activities, at the time I hadn’t said anything because I was in shock. All of a sudden I was stuffed into the laundry bag hanging on the side of the laundry cart outside the room and the lid was slammed shut. I was there for a minute when all of a sudden the cart started to be pushed along to the next room, every 5 or so minutes the lid would lift and more sheets would be pushed on top of me. Then after the fourth room, I heard one cleaner say to the other, "Hey the pink linen skip is full, let’s empty it down the sheet chute and then finish the last two rooms." All of a sudden the cart stopped and the bag was unhooked and tipped upright, the next thing that happened was I was sliding out of the bag and then I fell down the chute. But then as it was a "second chute in the main hotel chute system, I stopped at the end because there was a gate closed that stopped me and the linen entering the main system and being "processed", over a period of ten minutes other cleaners emptied sheets down the chute witched pressed me up against the gate even more. When I looked through the gate below I could see clothes, dry-cleanable, towels, used tea towels and sponges being sucked through chutes and into the main chute. Then the cleaners must have pressed a button because the gate slowly started to open and a vacuum suction started pulling me down. I could feel myself being pulled and the sheets were pushing me down. Then the chute tipped from slightly diagonal to fully diagonal and I fell down the main chute, I quickly grabbed onto another gate below to stop myself from falling, but then the gate started to open and about 150 tea towels fell onto me and dragged me down and I was sucked down onto the main conveyor belt and was pulled along. I could see a large machine and thought OH NO! I was apparently pulled into a "quickx clean" system, like a commercial dishwasher, I was sprayed with water under heavy pressure cleaned with detergent and softened, then the conveyor belt kept pulling along and I was pulled into another machine which blew me and all the tea towels with hot air. Then I was dropped onto another conveyor belt than shuntered along every few seconds, ahead of me I could see the pile of sheets and staff was laying them out and they were being pulled into a big rolling pin iron, I tried to get off the conveyor but my foot was caught in the hole pattern, the staff saw me and quickly helped me off the conveyor belt and made sure I was ok. When I got off and sat down I realized I was wearing tea towels. All I could smell was hotel washing detergents.

Since then I’ve never told my mum, whenever I get dressed I always safety pin one of her tea towels around by breasts, then put my bra on and I wear one of her sponge cloths in my briefs, if I don’t I don’t feel right. Since then the boys at school have noticed that my breasts are bigger and the hottest guy in school has asked me out, the other day my mum noticed that I was wearing her pink and white extra soft tea towel because she could see it through my school dress at the breakfast table. I told her it was so the boys would think they were ‘bigger’. And she said ok. The other day when she went outside to get clothes of the line and left the clothes spinning around in the hot dryer, I paused it and climbed in as hot steam escaped, then all of a sudden out of nowhere my mum pushed clothes into the half full dryer and slammed the door and reset it to full condense and full heat, turbo spin and pressed go! Suddenly it started spinning quicker and it was getting hotter and hotter by the minute and I could see my mum ironing and folding clothes with her back turned. After I checked my watch it had been 8 minutes and the clothes were starting to burn me they were so hot and I was wrapped up in a table cloth, then the machine stopped because mum could see something irregular spinning out of control out of the corner of her eye in her tumble dryer. After she gave me a cold shower in the laundry tub, I told her I wanted to see what it was like in the dryer with clothes. All she did was frown and she walked out.

Why am I wearing tea towels each day? What can I do to stop it???

When suits are dry cleaned they come back with a stronger scent (which I don’t like) than when they are steam pressed. Thus, I prefer to get them steam pressed (it’s also cheaper). After having my suits steam pressed last month, they looked and felt perfectly clean to me. Even though I wear the same two jackets, two pants, and one skirt four days each week, I only take them to the cleaners once a month. This is my second month of wearing them, and I am going to take them in tonight.

Do you think that I need to get them dry cleaned rather than steam pressed? If so, why?
