Steam cleaning. Statewide carpet cleaning. hot water extraction, Dry cleaning,
My car is very filthy. Mostly the carpet. It has caked in dirt, food, old spilled drinks, etc. It is very disgusting. I thought about going to get it detailed but it is so gross I am embarrassed to take it.
I would like to use some heavy-duty commercial cleaners or whatever they use at the car wash. Which ones are the most potent? Also what kind of device would I need, a steam cleaner or we/dry vac or what? Any information is appreciated, remember I am looking for heavy-duty cleaning. Thanks!
Would like to add that I already tried some regular carpet cleaner, and scrubbed it really hard with a scrub brush and bucket of water, and its not doing much except soaking the carpet and making it smell.

When we moved in 2 months ago there were a few stains on the carpet, but otherwise it looked clean. I vacuum once a week just on principle I like to walk on clean carpet. However, I got a puppy for christmas and she’s already mostly house broken. We’ve just had maybe 3 or 4 accidents. I noticed she went on the stained parts of the carpet. Our carpet is a medium brown color and the stains are just a little darker so I wasn’t too worried and noted it on my move in check list. As I was cleaning the accidents, I noticed quite a bit of dirt coming up also. I wanted to steam clean, but I know that some steam cleaners actually soak the carpet which can cause the carpet to not get completely dry in some areas leading to mold or rotting. I’m not sure what to do because it’s killing the neat freak in me that the floor is so icky. We were told that it had been professionally steam cleaned prior to us moving in, but that seems highly doubtful. Any ideas on how or what I should use to clean my carpet? I’m kind of on a tight budget so the best for the cheapest price would be great.
The dirt on the skirting boards in my house seems to have settled permanently. The vacuum cleaner doesn’t seem to be having any effect on it. The dist looks to be permanently glued to the wooden surface of the skirting board. I have seen a lot of cleaning products in the market, especially at the local Wilko and ASDA. However I am not sure that they will work or not.
Also, I am not sure wether to simly apply the liquid cleaners on the skirting boards and then wipe it off with a cloth after some time OR do I need to use something like a steam cleaner?
Also, will the same strategy work with the mould & mildew which is all around the window frames?
I heard steam can help clen dirt in the pores and I wanna clean my pores and clean blackheads and zits on my chin..anyone know if it works? Help me out here
I’ve read some of other people’s posts, and it seems like some say get a professional (some like Stanley Steemer, others don’t), some say to rent a carpet cleaner and do it yourself, others say to buy your own, which is the best investment in the long run. I don’t mind buying my own for 0 if they really work well, because it does seem to be cheaper in the long run. I have 2 dogs and they bring in mud and dirt into the house all the time. I’ve never had carpets deep cleaned before, so I don’t know the difference between the different services and technology. Are they all steam cleaners or no? Any information is welcome and appreciated.
I have an older light colored wall to wall carpet with many spots and stains. It’s a real pain to treat the spots by hand. I’ve considered renting the "steam cleaners" from the grocery store or purchasing a hand held "carpet extractor". They both work the same way, spraying steaming hot water and detergent into the rug, then vacuuming it up along with the dirt or stain.
If you’ve used one of these – or both – please give me the benefit of your advice. How well do they clean mud and food spots, how easy are they to use, and how wet do they leave the carpet? Thanks!
I dont want to pay alot of money for store bought cleaners because I have a few larger areas to clean, is there some type of household cleaner or item i can use with the water in its place? I have a bissell steam cleaner. I do NOT want to spot treat the carpet just want something that will collectively clean the entire carpet and life dirt.
Since I have 2 little ones our floor tends to get a lot of small spots on it. I’ve tried using Resolve foam but it got used up way to fast. I don’t think we have any actual stains, just food spills, dirt and what not. I do have a few black spots near my computer chair but I am not sure what they are from so I don’t know if they are stains or not. So what do you suggest to clean carpets. By the way, steam cleaners/deep cleaners are not an option right now.
